For my Behavior Change Project I chose to change my drinking habits with water. This seems like it would be an easy thing for anyone to do. All you have to do is just drink a lot of water right? That wasn’t the case for me I kind of had some trouble with consuming more water. As an athlete here at Colorado State University-Pueblo, water is very important to me. Without the right amount of water I consume every day, I will start slacking in my performance on the court and in the classroom.

For the first two weeks I was doing really well I was right on track, I brought my water bottle with me to every class, I drank a lot of water at practice and before I went to bed. I made the decision to drink water at every one of my meals instead of soda pop. For the first two weeks I didn’t feel that exhausted in practice, I felt like I was performing and training better than I have every trained before. I then found that I thought I was in the best shape of my life. We would have conditioning and weight lifting everyday so the importance of drinking water for the first two weeks was extremely important.

It seemed like after the first two weeks passed I kind of started to let it go a little bit. I think I felt like since I was doing so well I thought earned slip up every now and then. I went back to my ways of drinking soda pop at my meals and I forgot to take my water bottle with me to every class. I think I kind of forgot about this project because I had so many other things going on.

During practice I felt like I was way more fatigued, this could have been from all of the practices and workouts. I feel like if I would have kept up my progress I would have had a better time with fatigue.
