First of all, thank you for joining my class. I look forward to working with you for the 20132014 school year. It should be an exciting year for us. Our class will be utilizing Flip instruction which means internet access would be required to be successful. The public library can be utilized for internet access as well. I will be using Edmodo for instructional notes, quizzes, videos, and other related items. In order for you to have some initial success in this course please do the following: You will need to check out the Raven and Berg (purple)

Environmental Book starting June 10th.
1. Read the following chapters from your textbook: a. Read Chapter 1 and complete the Objective Questions 1-8 on page 1. Each answer must be written or typed in complete sentences. The questions will need to be turned in (or emailed to me if done early) no later than August 20th. b. Read Chapter 2 and complete the Objective Questions 1-9 on page 22. Each answer must be written or typed in complete sentences. The questions will need to be turned in (or emailed to me if done early) no later than August 20th.

2. Join the Edmodo group for AP Environmental Science a. Log onto Edmodo.com b. Create an account if you don’t already have one from the previous school year. To join the group you will need to enter a group code. The code is dio5bw c. There will be PowerPoint notes for Chapter 1 and 2 and video notes d. Upon reading your text book and viewing the Chapter notes, complete Chapter 1 (14 questions) and Chapter 2 (15 Questions) quizzes. Both are found on Edmodo. You will have 1 hour to complete each quiz. Simply click on each quiz, answer the questions, and submit. The quizzes will be due on August 20th. A hard copy of the quiz will also be provided on August 20th. 3. There will be a TEST on Chapter 1 and 2 on the 1st Wednesday upon returning to school. A word of warning: 1. Do not wait until just
